ASPPB Shares: Coalition of Psychology Practice Organizations (CPPO) Seeks New Non-Profit Organization Members

The Coalition of Psychology Practice Organizations (CPPO)* is growing—and it’s looking for organizations that want to help shape the future of psychology practice. For the first time since its formation, CPPO is opening membership to a limited number of new organizations, with applications now being accepted for up to four new non-profit members.

This deliberate expansion is designed to bring new perspectives, expertise, and energy to the Coalition while preserving the collaborative approach that has guided CPPO from the beginning.

CPPO brings together organizations committed to advancing the well-being and professional growth of doctoral-level psychologists and psychology doctoral students through collaboration, communication, and collective action. Since its formation, the Coalition has created a forum for psychology organizations to share information, identify common challenges, develop resources, and work together on issues affecting psychologists and the communities they serve.

As CPPO enters this next phase, it is looking to broaden and strengthen its reach and expertise by welcoming additional organizations that share its members’ commitment to a strong and vibrant psychology profession.

*The Coalition of Psychology Practice Organizations (CPPO) is a voluntary coalition of practice-oriented psychology organizations dedicated to advancing the well-being and professional growth of licensed psychologists and psychology students, with an emphasis on doctoral-level practitioners or those in preparation, through collaboration, resource sharing, and programmatic development.

The founding members of the CPPO include: the American Board of Professional Psychology; APA Division 31: State, Provincial, and Territorial Psychological Associations Affairs; APA Division 42: Psychologists in Independent Practice; and the National Register of Health Service Psychologists. The liaison members of the CPPO include the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards and the Canadian Register of Health Service Psychologists.
