ASPPB Welcomes Dr. Kori L. H. Maxwell as Senior Director of Examination Services
The Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards® (ASPPB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kori L. H. Maxwell, PhD, as Senior Director for Examination Services. In this role, Dr. Maxwell will provide strategic leadership for the association’s examination programs, focusing on assessment quality, psychometric integrity, examination operations, security, and continued innovation.
“Dr. Maxwell brings more than 12 years of experience in directing large-scale examination operations, enterprise assessment strategy, and cross-functional teams in global professional learning environments, which will greatly benefit ASPPB and the 66 jurisdictions we serve,” said Mariann Burnetti-Atwell, PsyD, ASPPB’s CEO. “His expertise in test development, psychometric quality assurance, data analysis, examination security, and technology-enabled assessment will support the progress of the integrated Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology® (EPPP), soon to enter its Beta Testing stage.”
Most recently, Dr. Maxwell served as Director of Examinations at LOMA/LL Global, where he led enterprise-wide examination strategy and operations for professional designation programs. His responsibilities included overseeing exam development, psychometric quality assurance, validity and fairness reviews, examination security initiatives, technology modernization, and vendor partnerships.
Dr. Maxwell’s career also includes teaching and academic leadership roles at Purdue Global University, Georgia State University, Clayton State University, and Bauder College. His academic background combines mathematics education, statistics, and accounting. He earned a PhD in Teaching & Learning (Mathematics Education) and an MS in Mathematics (Biostatistics) from Georgia State University, as well as a BS in Accounting & Statistics from the University of the West Indies.
He also holds professional designations including Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI), Fellow, Secure Retirement Institute (FSRI), and Associate, Customer Service (ACS). He has also contributed to mathematics education and assessment through peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, academic service, and research collaborations.
In his new role, Dr. Maxwell will work closely with internal teams, subject matter experts, stakeholders, and partners to support ASPPB’s continued advancement and ensure ASPPB’s assessments remain fair, valid, reliable, secure, and responsive to the needs of the profession.
