ASPPB’s Transition to New EPPP Candidate Registration Portal
The Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards® (ASPPB) is transitioning to a new EPPP candidate registration and data management system for the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology® (EPPP). ASPPB has partnered with BrightLink to customize and implement Clarus, a platform designed to support a more efficient, intuitive, and user-centered experience for ASPPB Member Board users, EPPP Candidates, and ASPPB Staff. Clarus is scheduled to launch on September 29.
Pearson VUE will continue to serve as ASPPB’s examination vendor, including support for examination development, test center exam delivery, and scheduling services. This vendor relationship is not changing as part of the system transition.
For Jurisdiction users and EPPP Candidates with existing Certemy accounts, access to Certemy will end at midnight on September 23. During the transition period, users should plan for a temporary system blackout while data is migrated from Certemy into Clarus.
Candidates who are already scheduled to take an EPPP examination during the blackout period may proceed with their appointments as planned. The blackout period runs from September 24 through September 29. However, during this window, Candidates will not be able to access Certemy to schedule or reschedule an examination appointment. Candidates who need scheduling or rescheduling assistance for appointments during this period should contact Pearson VUE at 1 (800) 513-6910.
Candidate data currently secured within Certemy will be migrated into Clarus, with one exception: previous EPPP delivery purchase receipts will not be migrated. Candidates who need copies of those receipts should download them from the Digital Wallet section of their Certemy account before September 23. After the transition, direct receipt-related questions to ASPPB at Exams@asppb.org.
All Jurisdiction members and Candidates with Certemy accounts will receive an invitation email from Clarus on September 29. That message will include instructions for creating or confirming a Clarus account.
Candidates registering for the EPPP who do not have Certemy accounts will not experience a change in their process. They should continue to apply through their jurisdiction. Once the jurisdiction approves the Candidate to take the EPPP, the Candidate will be assigned a Clarus account as part of the updated registration workflow.
