ASPPB’s Upcoming Virtual Town Hall Meeting seeks Input on the Model Act and Regulations for Licensure and Registration of Psychologists
The Revised Model Act and Regulations for the Licensure and Registration of Psychologists are open for Public Comment through September 28th, 2026.
Tyrone, GA, August 17, 2026 –On September 9th, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. EST, the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards® (ASPPB) will host a Virtual Town Hall Meeting to discuss the revised Model Act for Licensure and Registration of Psychologists and the Model Regulations for Licensure and Registration of Psychologists.
Developed by the Model Act and Regulations Committee (MARC), these documents offer proposed language designed to help jurisdictions strengthen the regulation of the practice of psychology, protect the public, and address the evolving landscape of psychology licensure across jurisdictions.
This meeting will be presented by:
- Alex M. Siegel, J.D., Ph.D., MARC Chair and ASPPB’s Director of Professional Affairs,
- Peter M. Oppenheimer, Ph.D., member of the Rhode Island Board of Psychology, MARC member, and the Commissioner and State Administrator for the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT), and
- Daniel A. Schroder, Ph.D., President and CEO of Organization Development Consultants, Inc. (ODC).
